Pre-Nursing and other college majors may apply for admission to the School of Nursing after one semester of college course work.
Step One: Qualifications
- Minimum cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale on all college work attempted
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for the pre-requisite courses
- Completion of each of the pre-requisite courses with a grade of "C" or better prior to enrollment

Step Two: Apply To the School of Nursing
Once you have completed your first semester of classes you will need to apply to the School of Nursing. Complete the WVU application page or click on the "Apply Now" button below. You will need to create new account, so click on "create account" and follow the prompts. Once you have done so, click "Start Application" and review your admission type prior to completing enrollment information and then submit the application. It is important to note that you should choose HSC Internal Transfer from the selection if you are currently a student at WVU.

Step Three: Acceptance
Applicants are notified of admissions decisions via email in April for those starting in the fall semester, and July for those who start in the spring semester.
